How to care for your Stone Island badge?

Adding that eye catching finish to every item, Stone Island badges have kept everyone coming back for more. They're pretty durable, but sometimes need a little freshen up..so how do you look after them?

Do Stone Island sell replacement badges?
No, sadly not.. But don't panic, we've secured a limited supply of authentic Stone Island badges. Grab yours here: Stone Island Replacement Badges

This is the biggest rookie mistake out there.. The washing machine is a death sentence for your Stone Island badge.  Not only will it lose its shape and size, but it will lose all of its colour. Stay vigilant and always remove the badge before washing your item.

If your badge really needs a clean, you can still give it a gentle hand wash. We recommend using a toothbrush or soft cloth to give it a light scrub.

Let us reveal the greatest purchase you'll make this year: a debobbler. This is one of the best clothing hacks out there to make your clothes and badges look new again. Most debobblers are under £10 and can be found in most major retailers.

Just run the debobbler along the edges and across the front of your Stone Island badge. Be careful not to debobble heavily on the badge corners as these can sometimes fray.

We don't generally recommend this, as the heat of an iron can melt the back of the badge. But if your badge really needs an iron then always cover the badge with a cloth - a pillowcase works well. Just 5 seconds of ironing time on a low heat should be enough!

If you own a handheld garment steamer, these are the best way to release creases from both clothes and badges. They aren't as hot as an iron, so won't melt your badge but still only takes seconds for the magic to happen. Just lay your badge on a curved surface (e.g. a water bottle) and give it a quick steam.

When using a garment steamer make sure you wear a protective glove, we've learned the hard way..

We can't resist showing off our new Stone Island piece, but sometimes the badge is best kept off. We've heard horror stories of badges getting pinched at busy pubs or on nights out. But don't worry, most Stone Island items have 2 buttons inside that allow you to store your badge.

But if you love getting the badge in, who are we to tell you otherwise. You could also purchase one of our authentic Stone Island Ghost Badges or Stone Island Shadow Project Badges for a more understated look.
